On November 11th, we honor Veterans Day, paying tribute to the brave military veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces. This day, which coincides with Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, marks the end of World War I hostilities on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. Originally known as Armistice Day, it was renamed Veterans Day in 1954 to honor all American veterans. Superintendent Jones had a wonderful time visiting Ms. Foy’s Multiage LSS class today, where scholars were engaged in hands-on learning and received some special treats and prizes! Sometimes health conditions can come apparently out of no where. Sometimes people know about an underlying heart condition that could make them more susceptible to having a cardiac event. Other times those underlying conditions can lay silent until an event occurs. This is one reason why it is extremely important to have a primary doctor that follows your care year after year. Supt. Jones, "Honoring a DTM Scholar": When scholars take the time to give speeches at a young age and memorize words that inspire and motivate, it should always be commended. We present to you, the future, Mr. Clifford Scruggs from DTM. He gave an awesome speech on Diversity over the past weekend at the 32nd National Multicultural and Diversity Celebration. Clifford, we celebrate you!!

We strive to keep all of our students as healthy and safe as possible. One of the best ways one can do this is being fully immunized. The state requires students enrolled in school to be up to date on their childhood immunizations. Please see attached flyer for our upcoming immunization clinic.
